Give your work wear a spark of electricity with some daring prints and bold colors. The work place doesn't have to be boring well at least your wardrobe doesn't. Be the free spirited woman you want to be while still being the respected "BOSS LADY" because you look like the power woman on top!
What I Did:
In this look I wanted to evoke a very whimsical yet powerful and independent feminine outfit. A look to be both admired and respected in, conservative yet sensual.
So of course, inspired be the lovely photo on the left I went searching for a red printed dress. I choose the DVF, Diane von Furstenberg, dress because she is known to want to make woman look and feel independent through the prints and silhouettes of her garments.
Then, I took the navy blue accent color and decided it was going to be the base color for my outerwear and shoes. I went with a classic navy blazer with the gold button detail. Then, for the shoes I could have easily gone for a plain pair of navy pumps, which would have still been a great look because of the bold dress, but that would've been too safe for me haha. In order to continue this beautiful fantasy from head to toe I chose this blue leather pump with a satin paneled neo-western detail.
Pick a dress, with a PRINT, that exudes your confidence as soon as the fabric touches your skin. You know what dress I'm talking about! The one where the metal teeth of the cold zipper touches the skin on the side of your torso or the middle of your spine and sends chills through your whole body as it's going up. But..... that's one thing you don't mind because at the same time you can feel the dress take its silhouette and form around your God given shape. The one that sways away from your body as you walk to and fro showing off your beautiful curves. The dress that shows just the right amount of skin and has a print that's at perfect portion to your body type.
Then, from that print on the dress choose ONE of the darkest accent colors and that is now your foundation color for anything else you are going to style it with. This strategy can be done with ANY type of look that you're going for.
Remember you never have to feel alone because Jesus is always with you. Just chat him up.
